After watching the vintage motocross event last year in Monterey, CA, Travis raced his ‘73 Honda Elsinore in two classes this year and had a blast. 7.15.23

A bucket list trip - the IoM was an incredible experience. Witnessing the races over several days, meeting racers, making new friends, and taking in the beauty of the island all exceeded our expectations. 6.5-6.11.23

Incredible trail riding at the Nevada 200 this year. Twisting single track, flowing sand wash, and beautiful vistas around Caliente. Thank you Scot Harden for another amazing event. 4.15.23

Travis raced his first Biltwell 100 down the street from Rand Motor Co. and placed 3rd on his 1985 Honda CR250 in the vintage mono shock class. 4.1.23

A short break in the rain & snow made for epic conditions at the 2023 Soboba Trail Ride. 500+ riders took to the steep, muddy single-track. Travis is still cleaning the mud off 3 days later. 2.26.23

It doesn’t happen often, but at 3500’ elevation it can snow in the High Desert. SoCal is woefully underprepared for dealing with a few inches of snow. 2.25.23

Very rare to see a river appear in the arid Mojave Desert. After unusually high rainfall for weeks on end, Mesquite Canyon began to flow. 1.15.23

Always a great time at the District 37 Hare and Hound races when 100 racers take off at the same time in the bomb start. 1.8.23

A holiday roadtrip through Arizona and Texas led us to Big Bend National Park where we paddled down the Rio Grande. Stunning country. 12.27.22

Been on the bucket list for a while to stay at Mike’s Sky Ranch in Baja, Mexico. Was the perfect stopover while scouting the Baja 1000 course with Levi and his dad Fred Gill. 11.19.22

Lorene completed the grueling Cactus to Clouds hike ascending 10,300’ from Palm Springs, CA to San Jacinto Peak over 21 miles. 11.12.22

Its always touching to pay a visit to the Husky Monument. The memorial is about 30 miles from Randsburg and commemorates fallen motorcyclists who called the desert home. 11.12.22

Travis and his buddy Keith concurred the infamous Rincon Trial near Kernville, CA. It took all day to cover the roughly 40 miles out and back. 10.22.23

Great day of watching vintage motocross at the Glen Helen SoCal Vintage MX Classic. Luckily the rim was all that was hurt in a detour off the track for one racer. 10.15.22

Rand Motor Co. opened its doors for the annual Randsburg Old West Days. A few hundred visitors learned about the restoration and shared stories. 9.17.22

Our friend Tim hosted at Willow Springs Raceway for some kart time trials. Lorene didn’t waste any time laying down hot laps as soon as the race tires warmed up. 9.10.22

Travis got to celebrate his birthday by watching Eli Tomac go 1-1 at Pala Raceway. The racing was great despite the triple digit heat. 9.3.22

Perched on the south end of the Sierra Mountains, about 1 hour north of Randsburg, is a special riding spot. Travis and his riding buddy Keith enjoyed the network of single-track trails which weave over the mountains and through the woods. 8.6.22

Perhaps one of the most exciting barn finds to date is this 1971 Husky 400 Cross 8-Speed. Such an iconic bike after starring in the movie On Any Sunday in ‘71. Time to channel Malcolm. 8.5.22

Lorene decided to give her hand a try at the ‘79 trials bike seen here tearing down Butte Ave in front of Randsburg. Rand Motor Co. does not condone riding without proper gear. 7.23.22

Travis earned the coveted Big Bear 200 Hard Way finisher plaque at the 2022 event. The 200 miles took just under 12 hours to complete. 6.25.22

Acquired a new bike - a custom built 1979 Honda XL 185 that was converted from a dual-sport style motorcycle to a capable trials bike. The builder put lots of love into the build and we’re excited to have it at Rand Motor Co. 6.19.22

We were not exactly in the market for a 1953 Chrysler Windsor in desperate need of a makeover, but one presented itself at a good price, so we welcomed it at Rand Motor Co. 6.18.22

Beautiful spring play ride around Randsburg with dear friend Tim on his recently restored ‘86 Honda ATC 250R, Lorene on her Honda TRX400 (named Bob) and Travis on his ‘85 Honda CR250. 5.29.22

Great ride through Bean Canyon with brothers Levi & Brian Gill. Travis met Levi at the Nevada 200 and they became fast friends. 4.24.22

Third time riding the Nevada 200 out of Caliente, NV. One of the best organized rides of the year put on by Scot Harden. Got to ride with Mason Kline and Skyler Howes this year - two Dakar contenders. 4.9.22

Beautiful loop around Anza-Borrego, Salton Sea, Yuma, AZ and then up through Joshua Tree and Pioneertown. Great to spend time with buddies - James, Jim, Bob, Matt and Mo. 2.20.22

Best way to ring in the new year - a ride to the top of Fremont Peak. It’s a fun little goat path getting up there. 1.2.22

Amazing to attend the Baja 1000 and get to meet a moto hero - Toby Price. Driving a truck in 2021 rather than his KTM rally bike. 11.18.21

Lorene & Travis tied the knot in a remote canyon in Death Valley National Park in October of 2021. The party was at Rand Motor Co. 10.11.21
