randsburg is A town of what few still exist in California

In the middle of the Mojave desert, Randsburg has been a hub for offroad riders for decades. Nearly 50,000 acres of BLM land covered with an elaborate trail network is accessible from this historic gold mining town. Simple metal-clad, wood-framed buildings reflect a past now difficult to find in California.
Offroaders frequent Randsburg on weekends from October through May. The buzz of motors from Harley's to rat rods, and dirt bikes to UTVs crowd Butte Avenue as riders pass through for lunch or for a short (or long) stop at the local dive bar, The Joint.
Randsburg is located along the 395 corridor, heading north to Mammoth, Tahoe, or Death Valley, or due south to Joshua Tree or Palm Springs.
